Driver Training

The fact that RINNEN has effectively implemented a strict zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs for years is confirmed, among other things, by the inconspicuous results of the alcohol tests carried out.

But what would it feel like to be under the influence of alcohol? How does the ability to react change?

To simulate this, a practical exercise was carried out as part of this year’s BKF training course in Moers.

Equipped with special intoxication goggles, the aim was to walk a marked out course and accurately hit a fixed point with the hand. The goggles are specially designed to simulate relative or total inability to drive under the influence of alcohol. Different versions were used to simulate different blood alcohol levels.

“At the end of the day, most of the participants were surprised. Most of them had expected to be able to cope with the tasks without any problems. Many were proved wrong, because in the end it wasn’t as easy as they thought. We will continue to pursue the concept. Of course, this exercise also had a certain entertainment factor.”
